About Find Your Verse
How the site works, where the Bible text comes from, and how AI is and isn't used.
What this is
Find Your Verse helps you find the Bible verse you need — by describing a situation, asking a question, remembering a few words, or typing a reference. Searching, reading and studying are free.
Where the Bible text comes from
Every verse shown is read from a stored, openly licensed or public-domain translation: King James Version (KJV), American Standard Version (ASV) and World English Bible (WEB) in English, Reina-Valera 1909 in Spanish, and Almeida 1911 in Portuguese. ASV and WEB are currently partial; missing chapters say so instead of showing other text.
How AI is used
AI helps understand what you're searching for and can write short, labelled notes such as "why this verse may help" or a study explanation. AI never writes, rewrites or paraphrases scripture, and its notes are never presented as the Bible.
Editorial review
Topic pages, people, places, stories and reading plans are reviewed by an editor before they appear. Interpretations and traditions are labelled as such.
Corrections
If anything looks wrong — a verse, a reference or an explanation — use "Report an issue" at the bottom of any page. Scripture problems are reviewed first.
