Scripture remains free
Searching, reading, studying, saving and reading plans are free and will stay free.
Ads are separate from scripture
Ads never appear between verses, inside a passage, inside Verse of the Day, inside search answers, on Today, in the chapter reader or in reading plans you're following. Every ad is labelled "Advertisement".
No pay-to-rank
Advertisers and affiliates cannot influence search results, verse ranking, answers, Verse of the Day, study explanations, reading plans or the Bible knowledge pages. There are no sponsored verses.
Restraint
We start with very few ads on long editorial pages only, and reduce them if they affect reading or page speed. There are no pop-up ads, no countdowns and no ads in our emails or notifications.
Ad blockers
If you use an ad blocker, everything still works. We'll never ask you to turn it off to read the Bible.
